Beanstalk Challenge

We got a challenge to make the tallest beanstalk.  It had to touch the floor, and if you were holding on to it, that was breaking the rules. It was really hard to make it taller, but then we figured out to cut the paper.  Then we figured out to tape it to stuff to hold it up.  It was fun for 3 groups, but one group didn't figure that stuff out.  Sometimes that happens.

We made flag snacks for L blends, because that word has the L blend fl!

Some kids liked the cream cheese, and some kids did not like it and thought it was so gross.  Most kids liked the fruit though!

We learned that words with an o, a, or u start with a c, and words with an i or e start with a k!

We got "cat snacks" for all our hard work!

We learned about being kind and being a super friend!  You have to smile, stand tall, be nice, encourage friends who are sad, and defend people when someone is not nice to them!

We have been working hard during phonics all week on handwriting and word building!  We earned pretzels for snack as a prize for our hard work!  We made words with our pretzels!  Sometimes that was hard to do when you need to make a round letter, but we figured it out!
